This unforgettable 19 day journey will make you live a unique experience. From the Island of Borneo, an ideal place to feel the nature by visiting the National Parks and the orangutans, the mysticism of the temples of Java to the astonishing sunrise in Bromo and Ijen Volcacoes. In Tana Toraja you will enjoy its spectacular views, culture and tradition.
You will visit the heart of Bali and its main interesting points. After that,you will discover the wildlife of Komodo, known by its Dragon, and you can relax in its coralline beaches.

Program
Day 1. WELCOME TO YAKARTA / BANJARMASIN
Arrival to Yakarta. Immigration clearance. Connecting flight to Banjarmasin. Arrival in Banjarmasin and transfer to the Hotel. Accommodation. Overnight.

Day 2. BANJARMASIN - PANGKALANBUN (National Park of Tanjung putting)
Transfer to Banjarmasin Airport to take the flight to Pangkalanbun. Arrival in Pangkalan Bun and transfer by car to Kumai from where we will go up the river Sekonyer -on a ship - visiting Tanjung Harapan near the rehabilitation centre for orangutans. Dinner.

Note: Flights to Pangkalabun maximum luggage weight allowed is 10 Kg per person (the price for overweight is approx. 0,90 € per kg extra).
Day 3. TANJUNG PUTING: TANJUNG HARAPAN - CAMP LEAKEY.
Today, we will sail in our Klotok boat by the Sekonyer River. We will have the opportunity to see the huge diversity of this rich ecosystem situated in the South part of Borneo Island. We will visit the two rehabilitations centres for orangutans in the National Park coinciding with the lunch time. These orangutans live with gibbons, probiscideus monkeys, macaques, crocodiles and a extend variety of endemic birds. Every afternoon, we will berth our small ship to sleep near the probiscideus colonies.

Day 4. BORNEO - SEMARANG - YOGYAKARTA
Breakfast and return to Pangkalan Bun sailing down the Sekonyer River. Flight to Semarang. Arrival in Semarang and transfer by car to Yogyakarta. Accommodation.

Day 5. YOGYAKARTA - TRIP TO BOROBUDUR - PRAMBANAN
Trip to the worldwide famous Buddhist Temple Borobudur, which holds over 500 Buddha statues and thousands of relief panels. Then we will visit Prambanan, the biggest Hindu temple compound of Indonesia. These temples are dedicated to Trimurti, the expression of God as the creator (Brahma), the Sustainer (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva).

Day 6. YOGYAKARTA - MAKASSAR - TORAJA
Transfer to the airport to flight to Makassar. Arrival to Makassar airport, capital of the island of Sulawesi. After meeting our guide, we will be driven to the land of the Toraja. Late in the afternoon, we will arrive in Rantepao, the most important village of Tana Toraja Region; our hotel is located here. Then, we will visit some typical villages of this region

Day 7.-8. TORAJA TOUR
During these days we will visit the most charismatic places of the Tana Toraja Region. We will visit the village of Kete´kesu where we will be able to appreciate the curious shape of the Toraja traditional houses, the North-South distribution of the villages, the stone graves of Londa, guarded by Tau-Tau (wood effigies representing the deceased), high up a rock. If during the stay we have the opportunity to see a ceremony, we will assist to see the fascinating ritual that is taken to honour the deceased. Return to Rantepao to have dinner and sleep.

Day 9. TREKKING RANTEPAO - LIMBONG
Today we will go to the village of Salu (12 km from Rantepao), the starting point of an unprecedented trekking through the South area of Tana Toraja. From this point, we will start the way up to the Valley of the Mailing River. En route passing paths, rice fields, coffee plantations and small Toraja house settlements. For lunch, a picnic and we will spend the night in a local and typical house in the beautiful village of Limbong. (Approx. 4 hour Trekking, 2h ascent + 2h flat)

Day 10. LIMBONG - RAFTING RIO MAULU
After breakfast, we will walk down to the River Maiting (Approx. 1 Hour way down). Once down in the river, we will carry out the rafting (Level 2 .- Easy); we will have a formidable visual experience passing by the deep canyons, natural waterfalls and villages; seeing animals as iguanas and tropical birds. Back to hotel in Rantepao.

Day 11. TORAJA - MAKASSAR - SURABAYA - BROMO
We will be driven through "transulawesi" road to Makassar, Sulawesi's capital. During this trip, we will visit the traditional villages of the Bugis, who live in all the South of the Island. They are known by their ability to build "phinisi" boats and by their houses set on stilt. We will stop in the beach of Kupa to have lunch and enjoy the astonishing tropical landscape. In Makassar, we will take the flight back to Surabaya. Then, transfer by car to the Hotel Bromo Tosari, situated in the Bromo - Tenger - Semeru Volcanoes National Park. Accommodation.

Day 12. BROMO SUNRISE TOUR - KETAPANG - PN. IJEN
Early in the morning (04:00), ascend by 4x4 to Mount Bromo viewpoint. From here, we will see the sunrise cracking up the day through its rays, on a "lunar" landscape background formed by the Bromo and Semeru volcanoes. Then, we will have time to ascend to the ring of the Mount Bromo, from where it is possible to appreciate its steaming crater. After enjoying of this, back to the hotel to have breakfast. Next, driving to Ijen Resort situated in the Volcano Kawah Ijen National Park. . Accommodation in Ijen Resort.

Day 13. IJEN TOUR - BALI
After breakfast, we will go to the foot of the Volcano to start to start our walk until getting the ring Kawah Ijen Volcano. Once on the top, we will enjoy of one of the best views overlooking the Volcanoes of the whole Archipelago: the active crater has as background a turquoise blue lake and the local workers extracting the sulphur which will be sold on the local market.( the ascend to the crater takes 90 - 100 minutes walking). Then, we will go to Ketapang port to take the ferry to Bali. Transfer to Ubud, geographical centre of the island ; rest of the day free for you to relax in our hotel in Ubud or to have a walk, visit its market, temples, art galleries. Accommodation in Ubud.

Day 16. BALI - LABUANBAJO - RINCA - KOMODO
Transfer to Bali's airport to take the flight to Labuanjo, a small fishing village situated in the Western part of the island and the starting point of the expeditions to Komodo. Arrival in Labuanbajo and transfer to the port to take the local wood boat to the Rinca Island where we will have a walk to see de Dragons of Komodo in their natural habitat. Then we will sail to the Komodo Island. Simple supper and accommodation on the ship.

Day 17. KOMODO - BIDADARI ISLAND - LABUANBAJO
After breakfast, we will go for a walk of about 2 km through the Komodo National Park, where we will see the Dragon of Komodo (VARANUS KOMODOENSIS) and other endemic species of the island. Later on, we can do snorkelling in Rosa Beach, one of the best coralline beach of the area. Then we will sail to Bidadari Island where we will enjoy again its marvellous coralline reef. Then we will come back to Labuanbajo. Accommodation : Hotel .

Day 18. LABUAN BAJO - BALI
After breakfast, transfer to the airport of Labuanbajo to take the flight back to Bali. Arrival in Bali and transfer to the Hotel in the beach of Bali. Accommodation.

Day 19. DEPARTURE FROM BALI - OUT
At the arranged time, transfer to the airport to return.
