It lies around 425km north of Vientiane, and is situated on the border of the well-known Mekong River. Luang Prabang offers some of the most interesting fusion of traditional architecture and European colonial style, giving it the status of a World Heritage Site. In Vientiane, the sleepiest capital of the world, the many beautiful monuments, parks and temples will enchant visitors. Do not miss the legendary National temple of That Luang Stupa that is covered with gold.

Day 1 - Arrive Luang Prabang


On arrival in Luang Prabang you will be picked up by our local driver and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken on a brief orientation tour of the spiritual capital of Laos before climbing the 328 steps to the top of Mount Phousi to enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside. In the evening you will get the chance to stop at the hill tribe market. Your overnight stay is in Luang Prabang.


Day 2 - Luang Prabang


After breakfast, you will visit the beautiful Wat Xieng Thong showing its best face in the morning sun, before heading to the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum and Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-reliefs. In the afternoon, you will continue the exploration of the cosy town with stops at Wat That, Wat Visun and Wat Aham. You will cross the Mekong for a walk on the opposite riverside and a climb to Wat Chompet for a different view of the city at sunset. Your overnight stay is in Luang Prabang.


Day 3 - Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall– Luang Prabang


After breakfast, enjoy a visit to Kuang Si Waterfall, southwest of Luang Prabang with stops en-route to visit some ethnic minority villages. It is possible to walk to the top of the falls via a steep track and if the weather is good you can swim in the clear water at the foot of the falls. Return to Luang Prabang. The rest of the afternoon is free at leisure. Your overnight stay is in Luang Prabang.


Day 4 - Luang Prabang - Pak Ou-Kamu Lodge


You can choose one of these programs for today
1. Trekking to hill tribes and another beautiful waterfall (interesting) 3 hours trek
2. Biking around Luang Phabang
4. Elephant experience ( one hour elephant riding and visit of Tad Sea waterfall )

This afternoon of overland travel will bring us to another amazing place in Laos, a newly discovered (in 2008) area with a great variety of activities in pure and untouched nature. The road will lead us over a number of mountain passes passing mostly highland Lao (Lao Sung - Hmong) villages. We may have a stop along the way and wander around. Day 5 - Kamu Lodge-Luang Prabang-Vientiane


Today we take the time to join a relaxing journey down to the work heritage town of Luang Prabang. On our 7 hour boat cruise downstream to Luang Prabang we see great landscapes and river sceneries and explore the natural way of life along the river banks. Visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. In Pak Ou, thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues are crammed into the two caves carved out of a towering limestone cliff. They range in size from a few centimeters to the size of a human. Enjoy this not so active day... Late afternoon arrival then transfer to the airport for the evening flight back to Vientiane. In Vientiane, transfer to your hotel on arrival. Day 6 – Vientiane


Full day dedicated to visit the capital city of Vientiane, with Wat Sisaket and its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, Wat Prakeo, Wat Simuang, the That Luang Monument, Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe, the Patouxai Monument and the Talat Sao or Morning market. For individual travelers a foot reflexology massage is included at the end of the afternoon. Your overnight stay is in Vientiane.


Day 7 - Depart Vientiane


After breakfast, free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
