Program
Day 1: Saigon (Arrival)
Pick up at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer with guide to the hotel in Saigon. In the afternoon take an excursion to Cu Chi, 70km (44mi) north of Saigon, famed for its 200 kilometers of tunnels. This unique experience offers a sense of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War must have been like. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 2: Saigon – My Tho – Can Tho (Breakfast, Lunch)
Enjoy a full-day excursion to My Tho, a peaceful town on the bank of Mekong River. The tour includes a cruise on the Mekong River, a visit to orchards and local homes, a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, a taste of seasonal fruit-and-honey tea, and a performance of traditional southern singing. Lunch of Mekong specialties is arranged followed by transfer to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 3: Can Tho – Saigon (Breakfast, Lunch)
The day starts with an early morning boat ride on the Mekong River to the bustling Cai Rang floating markets thronged with buyers and sellers moving around in boats laden with farm products. Taste seasonal fruit at a verdant orchard. Return to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 4: Saigon – Da Lat (Breakfast)
In the morning, transfer to Da Lat (310km, 190mi) past vast rubber plantations, extinct volcanic cones and endless pine forests. Stopover in Bao Loc, home to tea plantations and worm silk. Explore Dambri Falls, one of the most magnificent waterfalls in Vietnam, and visit a tea-processing plant for a tea tasting. Overnight in Dalat.
Day 5: Da Lat – Saigon (Breakfast)
Dalat, established as a hill station during French colonial period, is renowned for its Colonial French-styled villas and pine forests. Highlights of a half-day sightseeing include the Dalat Market, Bao Dai’s tomb, Truc Lam Pagoda, Cremaillere Railway and a flower farm. Return to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 6: Saigon – Phan Thiet (Breakfast)
The half-day tour will take you around Saigon, from downtown to Chinatown, to get a general view of a developing city. Among the places of interested we’ll visit: Notre Dame Cathedral, The Central Post Office and Reunification Hall. Visit the Vinh Nghiem pagoda and the bustling Chinese district. In the afternoon transfer to Phan Thiet. Overnight at a resort in Phan Thiet.
Day 7 – Day 9: Phan Thiet (Breakfast)
Enjoy leisure activities at your resort. Relax on the beautiful beach or take an optional tour to Ta Cu mountain or Hon Rom Bay and Mui Ne Sand Dunes excursion. Overnight in Phan Thiet.
Day 10: Phan Thiet (Breakfast)
Transfer to the airport in Saigon for the departure flight.
