Program
DAY 1: WELCOME TO HANOI
Arrive at the airport in Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital city of tree-lined streets, colonial houses and centuries-old temples. Pick up and transfer to a hotel. Enjoy a water puppet show and a dinner with a traditional folk show. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 2: HANOI – HALONG BAY
The journey to Halong lasts around 3 hours and begins at 8:30 AM. On arrival, a welcome cocktail is offered and check-in on board. At 12:00, the cruise starts sailing on Halong Bay passing by scenic locations including Yen Ngua, Con Coc Mountains and a floating village. A Vietnamese buffet lunch is served on board. En–route, visitors will enjoy the view from the sun deck, or relax with a professional massage before the cruise anchors near Trinh Nu & Hang Trong caves for the night stay. During the afternoon, swimming or kayaking activities are proposed. A Vietnamese buffet dinner is served in the elegant dinning room. Overnight on board. Note: kayaking and massaging are optional and not included in the trip cost.
DAY 3: HALONG BAY – HANOI
Attend a tai chi course in the early morning or watch a fabulous sunrise. The cruise then sails again through the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay heading for the shore. Check out of your cabin after breakfast and transfer back to Hanoi. The afternoon is spent on a sightseeing tour around Hanoi, including the Temple of Literature, Ethnology Museum, the old quarters and a pedicab ride in the old quarters. Enjoy a nail spa and foot massage before dinner. Overnight in Hanoi. Note: massaging is optional and not included in the service fee.
DAY 4: HANOI – HUE
Leave for Hue by plane. Pick up at Hue airport and transfer to hotel. The afternoon tour includes a visit to the Imperial Citadel and the tombs of King Tu Duc and King Khai Dinh. The monuments, designed by the kings themselves, were also used as holiday retreats during their lifetime. In the evening, a typical royal court dinner with a presentation of ancient dancing and court music is arranged. Overnight in Hue.
DAY 5: HUE – DANANG – HOI AN
In the morning, take a boat ride on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, a 21-metre-high (69-foot-high) octagonal tower regarded as the symbol of Hue. Drive to the Dong Ba Market, famous for the best conical hats in Vietnam. Enjoy lunch and transfer to Hoi An, an ancient trading post of seafaring Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese merchants several centuries ago. Stop-over to visit the scenic Lang Co lagoon in Hai Van Pass, the stone-carving village of Non Nuoc and the Cham Sculpture Museum in Danang. In the evening, relax with a body massage by the riverside and enjoy Hoi An’s specialties at dinner. Overnight in Hoi An. Note: massaging is optional and not included in the service fee.
DAY 6: RELAXING IN HOI AN
Full day of relaxation on Hoi An’s sandy beach or shop in the ancient lovely town. Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 7: HOI AN – DANANG – NHA TRANG
Transfer to Danang airport to take a short flight to Nha Trang, Vietnam’s most charming coastal town with white sandy beaches, fascinating islands and year-round dry weather. Meeting at Cam Ranh airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is spent at Qi Spa for a full body treatment package. Overnight in Nha Trang. Note: massaging is optional and not included in the service fee.
DAY 8: NHA TRANG
Transfer to Cau Da Jetty for a day cruise to the islets. The water is clear and marine life is diverse for snorkeling and sunbathing. Optional activities include scuba diving, jet skiing, wind surfing and parasailing. A seafood lunch is served on board. Overnight in Nha Trang.
DAY 9: FREE TIME IN NHA TRANG
Full day free for relaxation on the beach or elsewhere. Overnight in Nha Trang.
DAY 10: FREE TIME IN NHA TRANG
Full day free for relaxation on the beach or elsewhere. Overnight in Nha Trang.
DAY 11: FREE TIME IN NHA TRANG
Full day free for relaxation on the beach or elsewhere. Overnight in Nha Trang.
DAY 12: NHA TRANG – HO CHI MINH CITY (HCMC)
Transfer to Nha Trang airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon, the largest and busiest city in Vietnam. Meeting at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to hotel. Tour HCM City during the afternoon and visit the History Museum, Binh Tay Market in Chinatown and Thien Hau Temple. Enjoy a folk show before dinner. Overnight in HCM City.
DAY 13: EXCURSION TO MEKONG DELTA
Enjoy a full-day excursion to My Tho, 75km south of HCM City, a peaceful town on the bank of the Mekong River. The tour comprises a cruise on the Mekong River, a visit to local homes and orchards, a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, a taste of seasonal fruit–and–honey tea and a performance of traditional southern singing. Lunch of Mekong specialties is arranged. Overnight in HCM City.
DAY 14: FREE TIME IN HO CHI MINH CITY
Spend a full day enjoying a spa treatment (your account) or at leisure. Overnight in HCM City.
DAY 15: DEPARTURE FROM HO CHI MINH CITY
Spend your last minutes downtown shopping (ceramics, silver-carvings, silk, ...) or at leisure before check-out. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure.
